Simple Encryptor

Simple Encryptor is an easy way of protecting private information in any of your files.

It was written after a colleague had his laptop breached by nefarious hackers who then contacted him to extort payments in return for not acting on the account and password data they had taken from the laptop. A lot of people keep important information in plain reach of hackers on their computers. Simple Encryptor offers a simple way to encrypt your files to add another level of safety.

The encryption may not stop a determined professional, but does provide a reasonable level of modern cryptographic security. Because a symmetric key algorithm is used, you must know the key that you used to encrypt a file in order to decrypt it. Simple Encryptor is designed to be fast and easy to use. It works on all types of files.
